Sorry for the long wait

I know it has been quite a while since my last post; I was just trying to let everything sink in.

Unfortunately, it was not just a scare that the baby gave us. I did miscarry. It has been just over a month, and I am doing well.

We took a month off and decided to start trying again this cycle.

Baby gave us a scare

Well, on Friday the baby gave us a bit of a scare. I was experiencing cramping and bleeding. I saw my doctor (who confirmed the pregnancy) and she told me that it can be normal, and not to panic. She had me go for bloodwork to check my HCG level, and I have to go back again today to get it checked again. As long as it is rising, then there are no problems!

We told my mom on Friday, and she is very excited for us. She prayed all weekend that everything would be fine with both me and baby.

We told my in-laws yesterday, and they too seem to be very excited! We had wanted to wait until 8 weeks, but with the problems this weekend decided just to tell them all what was going on.

So, On my way home from work last night, I stopped and picked up an infant clothing set with the Ottawa Senators on it! When I got home, I made supper and we ate, took another preggo test (just to be sure) and then got the gift ready.

I put it in a gift bag, and went and found him on the couch. I told him I had a gift for him and that he had to open it right then.

So, he took it out and stared at it for a minute, and then asked what it was. Then he said, or am I supposed to be reading between the lines. So, I said yep. He looked at me and said, "so your trying to tell me that your pregnant?" and I said yes, and then he got a big smile on his face!

I was pretty happy.

Last night I was feeling quite ill, and this morning when I woke up I had to get out of bed really slowly because I thought I was going to be sick.

I have an appointment with my GP next Wednesday, and I will find out more then!

Wee's going to be a mama!

Well, I took a HPT yesterday and it was positive! I am going to have a pregnant belly!

I am extremely excited about this, and cannot wait to share the news with my husband! I am trying to come up with a unique way to tell him, and as soon as I do, I will post his reaction!

I wanted to start this blog so that you, my friends and family, could keep up to date with my pregnancy if you choose to!

I am only 4 weeks pregnant, and have a few minor symptoms:

queasiness, fatigue and a much increased appetite! I can't seem to fill myself up!
